1st Month Down - 5 Memorable CAB Moments

So school has been back in session now for a little over a month...here are some highlights of what CAB has been up to this fall from Toy Story 3 to B.O.B....the best is yet to come! Stay tuned for a ton of awesome events coming in October including the Mr. UCF 2011 Scholarship Pageant, Theme Park Bingo, a Beatles tribute concert, and Sweet Dreams/Beautiful Knightmare week.

5. 2nd Annual Funky Fresh Family Brunch...the dancing and pie eating contest got out of control!4. Lady GaGa...couldn't make it but we had an awesome impersonator!

3. Mr. UCF/Miss UCF Auditions...our Spectacular Knights committee was hard at work selecting contestants for our 2011 scholarship pageants. FREE ICE CREAM. CAB is so cool. There is no doubt that it is HOT HOT HOT this summer. Cool down with CAB and FREE FREE FREE Jeremiah's Italian Ice in front of the Student Union from 12-2pm. There will be music and a lot of fun!

FREE MOVIE TONIGHT! So summer may be winding down but CAB still has FUN and FREE events for you to enjoy! Tonight at 7pm we will be showing Nacho Libre in the Key West Ballroom located on the 2nd floor of the Student Union. Don't miss out on the fun! See you tonight!

UCF rocks Miss Florida 2010!

Miss UCF 2010 Sara York was named a Semifinalist in the Miss Florida 2010 Pageant last Saturday. Congratulations Sara for making UCF proud! Fellow UCF Knight Jaclyn Raulerson was crowned Miss Florida 2010.

Five UCF students and two alumni were contestants in this year's Miss Florida pageant including Miss UCF 2009 Dasha Gonzalez, Vicky DiSanto, Kristina Janolo, Danielle Mueller and Tara Szczepanski. Miss Florida 2009 Rachael Todd is an alumnus of UCF. Great job everyone! Way to represent!

Pegasus Palooza, Oh My!

PEGASUS PALOOZA! CAB Speakers Director Steven Natale is sporting a Grown Ups tee for the new Adam Sandler/Chris Rock movie that just came out.

Steven is also the director of UCF's Welcome Week, Pegasus Palooza. Check out their website. CAB will be holding a bunch of cool events throughout the week in the fall including a comedy show, a huge concert in the UCF arena, a free movie screening of Death at a Funeral, and a White Affair VIP Pool Party.

PS: CAB Cinema gets all kinds of fun movie promo stuff for UCF students including free movie tickets! Tons of students got tickets from CAB to see a special screening of Grown Ups before it hit theaters last week.

PSS: The free screening of She's Out of My League last night was a smash success. Thanks to everyone who came out. Old School will be showing on July 6 in the Key West Ballroom at the Student Union. Don't forget!

CLUB CAB! Throw back to the 1980s...our Club Cab - Winter in Brooklyn party back in March at Brooklyn Pizza was full of break dancing, crazy outfits and an authentic snow machine. Good times...good times!

The cool thing about getting involved in CAB is you get the chance to meet a lot of amazing people from fellow UCF students to artists and speakers like Drake, Demetri Martin, Nikki Blonsky, and Sig Hansen. DON'T MISS THE MISS UCF SENDOFF! As you may know...CAB's Spectacular Knights committee puts on an annual scholarship pagaent to select a Mr. UCF in the fall semester and a Miss UCF in the spring.

The Miss UCF pagaent winner then gets to compete in the Miss Florida pagaent with the chance of going on to become the reigning Miss America!

Sara York was crowned Miss UCF 2010 this past February and will be heading to St. Petersburg, Florida next month.

Happening TODAY at 4pm in the Pegasus Ballroom. Come support Miss UCF 2010 Sara York as she prepares to compete at the Miss Florida Pageant!! Watch her perform her talent and model the outfits she will be wearing at Miss Florida in July. Refreshments will be served!
